Newsie is a daily digest of the news. We aim to be a calmer way to stay informed — one finite edition per day, no infinite scroll, no algorithm.
We summarize headlines from publicly available RSS feeds published by news organizations. We do not scrape behind paywalls and we do not bypass any access restrictions.
Every article in Newsie names its original publisher and links directly to the original story. We encourage readers to visit the original publisher to support their work. Where possible we also display the original wire-service headline alongside our summary.
Our summaries are short editorial briefs written in Newsie's own voice. They are intended as a tease — a way for readers to decide which stories to read in full at the source — not a substitute for the original reporting. We do not reproduce full articles or extended verbatim passages.
Article images are loaded directly from the publisher's servers. Newsie does not host or re-encode source media.
If you are a publisher and would prefer your content not be summarized in Newsie, contact us via our GitHub support page and we will remove your feed from our sources.
